Building a home is one of the biggest decisions a family will ever make. Yet until now, there has been no single place to compare New Zealand's home builders on a level playing field. StartMyBuild was created to change that.

Our mission is simple: give every Kiwi the tools and information they need to choose the right builder for their build, without the guesswork.

How we research

We independently research every builder listed on the platform. Our team reviews builder websites, published plan ranges, advertised pricing, standard inclusions, guarantee structures, and regional availability. We then present that information in a consistent, comparable format.

We do not rely on builders to supply their own listings. Everything is gathered and verified independently.

Truly independent

StartMyBuild does not take commissions, referral fees, or payments from any builder. Our listings are not influenced by commercial relationships. Every builder is assessed and presented on the same terms, so you can trust that what you see is an honest representation.
